Sugared pecans

Sugar-coated pecans is a traditional recipe with its roots in the cuisines of the United States and Mexico, where pecans are highly valued for their flavor and texture. In Latin America, this nut is commonly known as pecan, although in some countries they are also simply called nuts or pecans. Their use in desserts and snacks is very popular due to their versatility and the nutritional value they offer. The preparation of sugar-coated pecans is a simple and delicious way to enjoy this nut, combining the sweetness of sugar with a touch of cinnamon that enhances its flavor.

In countries like Mexico and Argentina, this recipe is a common treat at fairs and markets, while in Guatemala and Costa Rica, similar variants can be found that include local spices. Although the essence of the dish remains, the name and some ingredients may vary, but the base is always the sweetened pecan that is consumed as a crunchy and aromatic snack.
