The origin and history of Frankfurt sausages

Frankfurt sausages, also known as frankfurters or simply frankfurters, originated in the city of Frankfurt, Germany. They are a type of traditional sausage made primarily from pork and spices, recognized worldwide for their flavor and versatility in cooking.

In Latin America, these sausages have various names depending on the country. For example, in Mexico they are simply called "salchichas", while in some parts of Argentina and Chile they are also known as "vienesas". Their popularity is due to their easy preparation and the fact that they are part of typical dishes like the famous hot dog.

Over time, Frankfurt sausages have evolved and have been incorporated into different recipes, some of them creative and stuffed, adding a special touch to this renowned sausage.
