Orange and coconut squares are a delicious dessert with roots that trace back to various tropical cultures where both ingredients are very common. In Latin American countries, this type of recipe can be found under different names and variations. For example, in Mexico and several Central American countries, similar preparations with coconut and citrus are often called "coconut pastries" or "orange and coconut squares." In the Caribbean, it is common to find sweets that combine shredded coconut with citrus fruit juices or zest to create fresh and sweet desserts. This combination has gained popularity for its balance between the acidity of the orange and the sweet, creamy flavor of the coconut. It is a dessert that is not only easy to prepare but also ideal for those looking for tropical and refreshing flavors in one bite.
