Relish is a traditional condiment that has accompanied various culinary cultures around the world. In Latin America, although it is not always called relish, there are similar preparations based on fruits or vegetables that are used to add a special touch to meats, sandwiches, or festive dishes. In countries like Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina, variants that incorporate local ingredients can be found, adapting the essence of relish to native flavors. Cranberry relish, in particular, has its roots in North American cuisine, where cranberries are very popular, especially during the fall and winter seasons. In other Latin American countries, it might simply be called "cranberry mince" or "cranberry sauce," maintaining the main function of this accompaniment: to enhance the flavor of main dishes.
