Grilled hamburger patties

Grilled hamburger patties have a rich history that reflects the evolution of fast and personalized food in different cultures. Originating in the United States, these patties represent the fundamental base of the famous hamburger, a global symbol of casual dining. In Latin America, although the preparation varies slightly, the essence of the patty remains. In countries like Mexico and Colombia, they are usually simply called "hamburguesas," while in Argentina or Chile they are also known as "medallones de carne." Each country adds its special touch, adapting the recipe to local ingredients and culinary traditions.

The popularity of grilled patties lies in their intense flavor, a result of direct contact with the fire, something highly valued in the grilling culinary culture of Latin America. Whether served on a bun with multiple toppings or on their own, they are a versatile dish that invites creativity and family enjoyment.

How to Prepare Grilled Hamburger Patties

Ingredients: Beef, onion, salt, ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice.

Drain excess fat.

Mix ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice.

Pour the sauce over the patties.

Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, spooning the sauce over the patties occasionally.
