How to Make English Flapjack

Step 1: Melt the butter in a saucepan over very low heat.

Step 2: Mix the sugar, oats, and salt.

Step 3: Stir well and pour the mixture into a greased baking pan and press down lightly.

Step 4: Smooth the top surface with the back of a metal spoon and bake at 190 °C for 30-35 minutes in the center of the oven.

Step 5: When golden, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into square slices.

Step 6: Cool completely before serving.
