Cranberry orange sauce is a traditional accompaniment in many celebrations, especially during the fall and winter season in North America. Its origin dates back to the culinary traditions of indigenous peoples, who used cranberries as a fundamental part of their diet. In different regions of Latin America, this sauce may have different names, although the main ingredient, the red cranberry, is recognized for its distinctive flavor and health benefits. For example, in Mexico and some Central American countries it is simply known as "cranberry sauce," while in Argentina and Chile it is sometimes incorporated into similar fruit mixes to accompany meats and desserts. This recipe combines the natural acidity and sweetness of the cranberry with the citrus and aromatic touch of orange, making this sauce a perfect complement for both sweet and savory dishes.
