History and origin of Coconut Pyramids
Coconut Pyramids are a traditional sweet that delights with their soft texture and coconut flavor. Originating from various Caribbean and Latin American regions, this dessert has become especially popular in countries like Venezuela, Colombia, and Puerto Rico, where coconut is a widely used ingredient in pastries.
In other Latin American countries, this treat may be known by names such as "little coconut towers" or simply "coconut candy," although the recipe and presentation may vary slightly. Its preparation reflects the region's culinary richness and the use of local ingredients like evaporated milk and shredded coconut, which provide creaminess and intense flavor.
