Celestial and cold orange cheesecake

Cheesecake is a dessert appreciated in many cultures, and its orange version adds a citrusy and refreshing touch that has gained popularity in Latin America. Although its origin is mainly associated with European cuisine, especially Greece and Germany, this dessert has been adapted in different Latin American countries with local ingredients and variations in its preparation. In countries like Mexico, Venezuela, and Colombia, cheesecake is common at family celebrations, and although the main focus is usually cream cheese, adding orange provides a unique and light flavor that perfectly adapts to warm climates.

In some places in Latin America, this cake goes by names such as "orange cheesecake tart" or simply "cold cheesecake," highlighting the main characteristic of its creamy texture and its presentation without prolonged baking. Each country may vary in the type of base used, as well as in the final decorations, but the essence of the creamy cheese and the sweet-and-sour contrast of the orange remain constant, making this dessert an ideal option for any occasion.
