Baked mushroom casserole

Baked mushroom casserole is a comforting and versatile dish that has found its place in various Latin American cuisines. Originating from home traditions that make use of simple yet flavorful ingredients, this recipe adapts to different variants depending on the country. In Mexico, for example, it can be found as "cazuela de hongos," while in other countries like Chile or Argentina, it is simply known as "cazuela de champiñones." Its popularity lies in the combination of textures and aromas offered by the mushrooms with the creaminess of the cheese and the softness of the baked mixture. Furthermore, it is an ideal option for those seeking a comforting and nutritious preparation that can be served as a main dish or a side.
