Golpear: A Refreshing Delight with History

Golpear is a traditional beverage enjoyed in several Latin American countries, primarily known for its refreshing flavor and simple preparation. Originating in the Caribbean and South America, this mixture was born as a practical way to combine juices and soft drinks to create a perfect beverage for warm weather.
In different countries, golpear may vary slightly in its name and preparation. For example, in some regions of Mexico and Central America, it is simply known as "Ponche frío" or "Refresco de jugos", while in countries like Venezuela and Colombia, it can be found under similar names that highlight the combination of juices and carbonated beverages. Its popularity lies in being ideal for gatherings and celebrations, thanks to its fruity flavor and the possibility of adding a bubbly touch with ginger ale or champagne.
