Chicken with Dill Sauce: History and Origin
Chicken with dill sauce is a recipe that combines the simplicity of roasted chicken with the fresh and distinctive flavor of dill, a very popular aromatic herb in European and North American cuisines. This preparation has its roots in the gastronomy of countries like Russia and Scandinavia, where dill is an essential ingredient in many sauces and side dishes for meats and fish.
In Latin America, although dill is not as common as other herbs, this recipe has gained popularity thanks to its unique and refreshing flavor. In some countries, it is known as "pollo al eneldo" or "chicken with creamy dill sauce," adapting to local ingredients while maintaining the original essence.
The dill sauce provides an herbal touch that balances the texture and flavor of the chicken, making it an ideal option for those looking for light but full-of-character dishes. Furthermore, its preparation is versatile and can accompany various types of chicken cuts or even fish.
